Phosphorus reduction is key to every nutrient management plan.

Many farmers have more manure than land available for application. This problem has been magnified with the arrival of phosphorus-based nutrient management regulations. Pro-Act Microbial’s manure treatment system not only decreases solids and odors, it also stratifies and greatly reduces phosphorus in the top water.

Pro-Act Microbial’s core system reduces phosphorus in manure top water.
Pro-Act Microbial’s core manure treatment system naturally stratifies the phosphorus in manure storage systems, conveniently settling it to the bottom.

Nutrients are stratified.
Much of the phosphorus and nitrogen will settle to the bottom.
Because agitation is not needed, the bottom water can be pumped out and taken to more distant fields or used to create nutrient-rich compost.
The top water is low in phosphorus and other nutrients and can be used for irrigation, even on growing crops.

Add-on system reduces phosphorus even more!
Pro-Act’s core treatment system already gives you top water extremely low in nutrients, but with an additional step, you may now be able to obtain a 90% reduction in phosphorous in your entire lagoon top water.

This advanced system is a breakthrough for the dairy industry which is seeing ever-strengthening regulations for their nutrient management programs. It allows farmers to irrigate anywhere, anytime and still maintain compliance.
