“I could see the bottom, several feet below the surface of the water.”

Pennsylvania — “Today I talked to a retired biology professor who advises me on how to take care of my pond. He stopped in to look at the pond a few days ago then called me to ask what had happened. The pond water had been a dark color. He says it was typical of water that has too many nutrients -- runoff from our fields. Now the water is cleared up, and he’d like to restock it with fish!

“This afternoon I rode down to the pond and, sure enough, it’s clear. I could see the bottom several feet below the surface of the water.”
